Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients’ mental health status, evaluating their emotional well-being, challenges, and treatment goals.
  • Formulate individualized treatment plans tailored to clients’ needs, consistently reviewing and updating them based on progress and feedback.
  • Facilitate individual and couples therapy sessions across various demographics, focusing on enhancing communication, resolving conflicts, and promoting relational health.
  • Document client interactions meticulously, including progress notes and case histories, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical guidelines.
  • Engage in crisis intervention as necessary to support clients experiencing acute distress or emergencies.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide holistic care, ensuring that clients receive comprehensive support.
  • Stay abreast of industry advancements and best practices in marriage and family therapy through ongoing professional development opportunities.
  • Advocate for clients by empowering them to make informed decisions and access additional resources as needed for their care.
  • Encourage self-care practices among clients and promote wellness activities to support their mental health journey.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your practice within Mind Health Behavioral Counseling will involve a diverse clientele, including individuals and couples facing a wide array of mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, and transitional life challenges. As a result, your approach should be adaptable and culturally sensitive to meet the unique needs of each client.

Qualifications
  • A Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or a similar discipline is required.
  • Active licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist in Nevada is essential.
  • Demonstrated experience in providing both individual and couples therapy sessions.
  • Strong proficiency in creating timely client assessments and treatment plans, alongside effective communication skills.
Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits
