Technical Business Analyst
Location: Chicago, IL (Hybrid Schedule- 3/2)
Duration: 6 Months

Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Business Analyst to join our team. As a Technical Business Analyst, you will act as a liaison between our technical teams and business stakeholders. Your primary responsibility will be to bridge the gap between business needs and technical requirements, ensuring the successful implementation of technology-driven solutions.
Responsibilities:
1. Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand and document their processes and requirements.
2. Conduct thorough analysis of requirements to identify technical solutions, deliverables, and project scope.
3. Work closely with technical teams to ensure understanding of business requirements, translating them into system specifications and technical designs.
4. Develop detailed functional and non-functional specifications, including user stories, use cases, process diagrams, and data flow diagrams.
5. Perform gap analysis to assess the differences between the current and desired systems and processes, identifying areas for improvement.
6. Facilitate requirements workshops and meetings, guiding discussions, resolving conflicts, and driving consensus among stakeholders.
7. Collaborate with developers and testers to ensure accurate and timely delivery of software solutions, while ensuring alignment with business requirements.
8. Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, status reports, and issue logs.
9. Conduct user acceptance testing (UAT), ensuring solutions meet business expectations and requirements.
10. Constantly broaden knowledge of CICA's portfolio of applications across portfolios.
Requirements:
1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a relevant field.
2. Proven experience as a Technical Business Analyst or in a similar role.
3. Have a good understanding of front-end portals/UI versus back end systems such as Policy Admin/Claims systems, etc. and intermediate interfaces/APIs.
4. Have a good understanding of SharePoint and how to create trackers, create and administer sites to support the business and IT teams.
5. Possess ability to decipher Azure, DFaS, PaaS, database architecture, micro-services/API design, etc. and be able to communicate that in a manner that non-IT folks can understand.
6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to understand complex business processes and translate them into technical requirements.
7. Proficient in creating technical documentation using industry-standard tools and methodologies such as JIRA.
8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
9. Experience in software development methodologies, such as Agile or Waterfall.
10. Knowledge of data modeling, database management, and SQL queries.
11. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
12. Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
13. Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team, displaying a high level of initiative and self-motivation.
