  • Trenchless Construction Expertise: Lead construction using HDD, bore and jack, and micro-tunneling methods for sewer infrastructure, including crossings under major transportation corridors, flood control channels, and waterway crossings.
  • Traffic Control & Coordination: Work closely with traffic engineers and agencies to develop and implement effective traffic control plans that minimize disruptions and meet regulatory requirements.
  • Stakeholder & Regulatory Coordination: Engage with city officials, regulatory bodies, and utility agencies to secure permits, approvals, and coordinate construction activities.
  • Quality Assurance & Field Inspections: Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards, construction plans, and contract requirements.
  • Budget & Schedule Management: Monitor project costs and schedules, ensuring adherence to contractual budgets and milestones.
  • Team Leadership & Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to field inspectors, engineers, and junior staff.
Qualifications & Experience:

  • Proven experience in medium-to-large sewer construction, including trenchless construction methods (HDD, bore and jack).
  • NASTT certification (or willingness to obtain) preferred.
  • Strong understanding of traffic control challenges and experience managing projects requiring significant traffic coordination.
  • ATSSA (or equivalent traffic control certification) strongly preferred.
  • Experience working with public agencies, Caltrans, city/county departments, and utility companies on permitting and approvals.
  • Strong knowledge of construction contract administration, RFIs, submittal reviews, and project documentation.
  • Ability to lead a team and manage multiple construction projects simultaneously.
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred.
