Job description

Window & Door Field Service Technician III

Denver/Brighton, CO Area
Starting at $32.00/hour

Milgard Windows & Doors, a proud part of MITER Brands, is seeking a skilled and customer-focused Field Service Technician III to join our team in the Denver/Brighton area. In this role, you'll travel to customer homes and job sites to diagnose, repair, and maintain Milgard's premium window and door products.

As the face of our company in the field, you'll combine technical expertise with outstanding customer service, ensuring every service call is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair Milgard window and door products at customer homes and job sites.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service by communicating professionally and courteously with homeowners, builders, and team members.
  • Assist with installations, repairs, and replacement of parts as needed.
  • Pick up, deliver, and manage inventory of service parts for field repairs.
  • Inspect incoming materials and parts to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Maintain accurate service documentation using iPads and company software.
  • Review schedules, update work orders, and complete service reports promptly.
  • Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and other required equipment.
  • Collaborate with fellow technicians on complex or multi-technician projects.
  • Maintain service vehicles in a clean, organized, and fully stocked condition.
  • Ensure job sites are left clean and restored to their original condition upon completion.
  • Support warehouse operations, including unloading deliveries and maintaining a safe work environment.
  • Submit all required paperwork and service documentation in a timely manner.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of window and door installation and/or service experience required. Ideally residential
  • Minimum of 2 years of customer-facing service experience.
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of hand and power tools and their safe operation.
  • Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively as part of a team.
  • Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic math calculations.
  • Comfortable using mobile devices, computers, and software applications for scheduling, documentation, and training.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook, Windows, and other basic computer applications.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish skills are a plus.
