Job description

Rate of Pay - $2,038 per week per CBA.
Primary Responsibilities
  • Installation, repair, replacement, and maintenance of electrical systems. Install electrical wiring, fixtures and equipment as part of the building infrastructure as well as its associated machinery and lighting systems. 
  • Maintenance. Perform routine maintenance on electrical systems to ensure optimal performance and safety. 
  • Troubleshooting. Diagnose and repair electrical issues. Ensureappropriate response to operational emergencies and other unforeseen circumstances. 
  • Compliance. Ensure that all electrical work complies with local (NYC) and national safety codes and regulations. 
  • Inspections. Conduct inspections of electrical equipment and its components. Maintain records and prepare reports 
  • Responding to emergency situations and environmental compliance emergencies 
Skills and Qualifications
  • Education. A high school diploma equivalent  with completion of an apprenticeship program or vocational training in electrical technology. 
  • Licensing.  Special Electrician License NYC DOB 
  • Technical Skills.  Proficiency in reading blueprints and technical diagrams, as well as knowledge of electrical systems and safety protocols. 
  • Problem-Solving: Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills to effectively address electrical issues. 
  • Physical Fitness.      Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy equipment and working in confined spaces. 
  • Experience and expertise. Candidates must have a minimum of 5 years of experience working in live Stage Theatre. Opera experience is desirable

  • Special Electrician License NYC DOB
