This position operates primarily in a remote setting, allowing you to provide services to clients from the comfort of your chosen workspace. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct individual, group, and family therapy sessions tailored to address a range of mental health conditions such as anxiety, depression, substance abuse, trauma, and relationship issues, using evidence-based therapeutic techniques.
• Perform thorough diagnostic assessments to develop personalized treatment plans that are regularly updated based on client progress and feedback.
• Engage in case consultations with psychiatrists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to create comprehensive care strategies for clients.
• Accurately maintain electronic health records (EHR) to document client interactions, treatment progress, and outcomes, adhering to ethical and legal standards.
• Participate in regular clinical supervision and partake in continual education opportunities to enhance your professional skills and knowledge.
• Provide crisis intervention and conduct risk assessments as needed, ensuring immediate support and safety for clients in distress.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Meru Behavioral Health Center, you will work with a diverse clientele, including adolescents, adults, and families from various backgrounds experiencing mental health challenges. Your role will focus on understanding their unique circumstances and fostering a therapeutic environment that is supportive, empathetic, and transformative. Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in mental health counseling or a related field.
• Active licensure as a mental health counselor in the state of New York.
• A minimum of two years of relevant counseling experience working with individuals, groups, and families in a clinical setting.
• Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills to effectively manage multiple caseloads and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.
• Ability to operate effectively in a remote work environment, utilizing technology for virtual sessions and documentation.

Preferred Experience

• Experience with electronic health record systems and teletherapy platforms.
• Familiarity with various therapeutic modalities, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and trauma-informed care.
• Background in crisis intervention techniques and high-risk assessment protocols.

Compensation and Benefits
