Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct individual, group, and family therapy sessions tailored to address a range of mental health conditions such as anxiety, depression, substance abuse, trauma, and relationship issues, using evidence-based therapeutic techniques.
  • Perform thorough diagnostic assessments to develop personalized treatment plans that are regularly updated based on client progress and feedback.
  • Engage in case consultations with psychiatrists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to create comprehensive care strategies for clients.
  • Accurately maintain electronic health records (EHR) to document client interactions, treatment progress, and outcomes, adhering to ethical and legal standards.
  • Participate in regular clinical supervision and partake in continual education opportunities to enhance your professional skills and knowledge.
  • Provide crisis intervention and conduct risk assessments as needed, ensuring immediate support and safety for clients in distress.
Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Meru Behavioral Health Center, you will work with a diverse clientele, including adolescents, adults, and families from various backgrounds experiencing mental health challenges. Qualifications
  • A bachelor’s degree in mental health counseling or a related field.
  • Active licensure as a mental health counselor in the state of New York.

Compensation and Benefits
