As a Logistics Specialist II, you will take on a more advanced role in coordinating and managing logistics activities. You will oversee the preparation, documentation, and routing of materials, ensuring compliance with all regulations. Responsibilities: * Oversee the preparation and documentation of logistics materials, including spares, tools, and equipment.
* Manage the shipping and routing of materials, ensuring compliance with regulations.
* Maintain and analyze records of equipment, components, repair parts, and related manuals.
* Optimize the allocation and organization of storage facilities for logistics materials.
* Ensure compliance with import/export requirements.
* Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of materials.
* Provide mentorship and guidance to Logistics Specialist I. Qualifications You Must Have: * High school diploma or GED equivalent.
* 1+ years of experience in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.
* Higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience.
* In-depth knowledge of state, federal, and global regulations related to logistics.
* Basic Microsoft Word and Excel skills.
* Basic understanding of Inventory and Supply Chain/Logistics principles and techniques.
* Experience with inventory databases. Qualifications We Prefer: * Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
* Advanced proficiency in logistics software and tools.
* Familiarity with AvPro or similar aviation maintenance tracking systems
* HazMat Training/Certification.
* Ability to operate a forklift.
* Experience with shipping databases, such as FedEx, DHL, UPS.
* Current Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and clean driving record.
* Understanding of shelf life.
* Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense or US Military. Essential Functions: * Ability to lift up to 25 lbs regularly.
* Ability to work on your feet for a majority of the work shift.
* Ability to work in a loud environment.
* Ability to travel as needed.
