In this full-time remote position, you will play a pivotal role in providing telehealth services, assisting clients in their journey towards mental wellness. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients’ mental health status through virtual appointments and determine personalized treatment plans.
• Provide individual and group therapy sessions tailored to the unique cultural and individual needs of each client, focusing on a wide array of issues including depression, anxiety, substance use, and eating disorders.
• Regularly monitor and document client progress, adapting treatment approaches as necessary based on evidence-based practices.
• Collaborate with other healthcare providers through referrals to ensure comprehensive patient care, including consultations with psychiatrists as needed.
• Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) to ensure compliance with organizational and legal standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Mercy Vale, you will engage with a diverse client population that reflects a range of cultural, social, and economic backgrounds. Clients may present with varying mental health challenges, from chronic conditions to situational stressors, and your role will be to offer empathetic support and expertly guide them toward recovery and stability through tailored therapeutic interventions.

Qualifications

• A master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• A current and valid professional license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Illinois.
• A minimum of four years of relevant clinical experience in mental health counseling, with a firm understanding of mental health disorders and treatment modalities.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, vital for building rapport with clients and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in delivering culturally responsive therapy, demonstrating an understanding of cultural competence in therapeutic practices.
• Strong proficiency in crisis intervention techniques and the ability to remain composed and effective in challenging situations.
• Previous experience using telehealth technology for therapy delivery and electronic health records is highly desirable.

Compensation and Benefits
