Role Description The Logistics Dispatcher is a full-time, on-site role based in Girard, OH. This position coordinates daily freight movements by assigning loads to drivers, monitoring routes, and ensuring on-time pickup and delivery. The role includes responding to driver and customer inquiries by phone and email, updating dispatch and tracking systems, and resolving schedule or routing issues as they arise. The Logistics Dispatcher works closely with operations, drivers, and customers to maintain accurate information, address service concerns, and support high levels of customer satisfaction. This role requires attention to detail, clear communication, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
Qualifications
  • Strong customer-facing skills, including Customer Service and Customer Satisfaction, with a focus on timely, helpful support.
  • Effective communication capabilities, including Communication and professional Phone Etiquette, for interacting with drivers and customers.
  • Experience or aptitude in Dispatching, load coordination, and basic routing or scheduling within a transportation or logistics setting.
  • Ability to work on-site in Girard, OH, manage time effectively, and remain organized under changing conditions.
  • Proficiency with computer systems and dispatch or transportation management software; basic data entry and record-keeping skills.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; prior experience in logistics, trucking, or a related field is preferred but not required.
  • Reliability, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to safety and service quality.
