MedStar Health is seeking Non-Invasive Cardiologists for opportunities at a variety of locations throughout Maryland, as well as an experienced Medical Director for the Echocardiography Laboratory at MedStar Union Memorial Hospital.

These opportunities are ideal for physicians who value clinical excellence, collaboration, advanced cardiovascular services, and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact within one of the region’s leading health systems.

Non-Invasive Cardiology Opportunities

Our cardiology teams provide comprehensive cardiovascular care, including:

  • General cardiology
  • Preventive cardiology
  • Cardiovascular imaging and testing
  • Inpatient and outpatient cardiology
  • Management of complex cardiovascular disease

Both experienced cardiologists and graduating cardiovascular disease fellows are encouraged to explore these opportunities. (Must be board eligible or board certified)

Medical Director – Echocardiography Laboratory

MedStar Health is also seeking an experienced cardiologist to serve as Medical Director of the Echocardiography Laboratory at MedStar Union Memorial Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland.

This leadership opportunity is ideal for a physician with demonstrated expertise in echocardiography who is interested in combining clinical practice with responsibility for the continued growth, quality, and development of a high-performing cardiovascular imaging program.

The Medical Director will work collaboratively with cardiology leadership, physicians, sonographers, advanced practice providers, and hospital administration to:

  • Provide clinical and medical leadership for the Echocardiography Laboratory
  • Promote excellence in diagnostic quality, patient safety, and clinical outcomes
  • Support accreditation, quality improvement, and regulatory initiatives
  • Help establish and maintain imaging protocols and standards
  • Provide oversight and mentorship for physicians and echocardiography staff
  • Support the continued development of advanced echocardiographic services
  • Collaborate with structural heart, interventional cardiology, electrophysiology, heart failure, and cardiac surgery programs
  • Participate in program development, physician recruitment, education, and strategic planning
  • Maintain a clinical practice consistent with the physician’s area of expertise

Candidates with expertise in transthoracic echocardiography, transesophageal echocardiography, stress echocardiography, and/or advanced cardiac imaging are encouraged to apply.
