Responsibilities:
  • Act as a manager and mentor for engineers on policies, procedures, and technical issues related to mechanical, electrical, and software integration.
  • Plan, direct, and coordinate the daily activities of the mechatronics development department/group/team.
  • Ensure the team adheres to industry best practices and company standards for mechatronics development.
  • Oversee integration of various subsystems (mechanical, electrical, and software) to ensure seamless operation.
  • Evaluate and optimize designs for manufacturability, performance, cost, and reliability.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to team members, ensuring their continuous development and alignment with organizational goals.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5 years of individual contributor experience as a Mechatronics Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, Electrical Engineer, Robotics Engineer, or other related engineering fields.
  • 3+ years of experience managing teams of engineers in mechatronics development.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of mechatronics principles, including mechanical design, electrical systems, control systems, and embedded software.
  • Proficiency in CAD tools for mechanical design (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and simulation software.
  • Experience with embedded systems programming and software development, including proficiency in C, C++, or similar languages.
  • Experience with Agile or other project management methodologies.
  • Strong project management skills, particularly with complex cross-disciplinary projects.
  • Preferred experience working in Robotics, Automation, or a similar field.
