Job description

Your future role at a glance

Location: Nashville, TN

Facility: Ascension Saint Thomas West 

Department: Renal Transplant Services 

Schedule: Full-time | Day Shift

How you'll make an impact in this role

  • Coordinates clinical and administrative processes for patients through all phases of the transplant/mechanical circulatory support (MCS) implant continuum to include pre-transplant/implant evaluation, wait list management, transplantation/implantation and post-transplantation/implantation follow-up care.   

  • Educates patients, families and staff regarding transplantation/MCS implantation. 

  • Completes data capture, analysis and reporting and other administrative functions required for transplant/MCS program operations.  

  • Actively participates in the quality agenda for transplant services as outlined by the United Network of Organ Sharing (UNOS) and Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). 

  • Collects and maintains time study data for purposes of reporting pre and post transplant time.

What minimum qualifications you'll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

Required Credential(s):

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Registered Nurse credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Education:

  • Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
