Responsibilities of a CDL-A Delivery Driver:
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the tractor-trailer and submit a DOT inspection report detailing the vehicle's condition.
  • Safely connect the assigned tractor to a loaded trailer and deliver from our Sidney, OH warehouse to an affiliated location, assisting with loading and sorting of pre-palletized products during priority appointments.
  • Typically manage two routes per week, with an average route duration of 28 hours. Work as a team, spending about 50% of the time in the berth.
  • No ramp unloading tasks required.
  • All necessary equipment is provided, and all tractors are well-maintained and under three years old.
  • Verify the bill of lading and store keys for accuracy during off-hour deliveries.
  • Drive the tractor-trailer to the destination, utilizing knowledge of commercial driving regulations and skills for maneuvering the vehicle on the road and at customer locations.
  • Maintain a driver log (Manual or Peoplenet) in accordance with DOT regulations, documenting delivery receipts, product temperatures, and any exceptions.
  • Unload the trailer and deliver products into customer premises.
  • Perform other assigned duties as needed.
Qualifications for a CDL-A Teammate:
  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • Possess a valid Class A commercial driver’s license (CDL-A).
  • Have a minimum of 1 year or 50,000 verifiable miles of tractor-trailer driving experience.
  • Must meet our organization’s MVR and risk rating standards.
  • This role requires the ability to read, write, and comprehend English at a level necessary to perform job-related tasks effectively and safely, including understanding work instructions, safety protocols, and essential communications.
