Job description

*The Opportunity*
Metro Testing + Engineering is hiring for a Laboratory Technician to perform testing on concrete and other construction materials at their Burnaby branch office.
*What will you get:*

*Job Duties & Responsibilities *
* Organizing and demolding cubes and cube molds
* Trimming samples
* Capping Cores
* Preparing Air void Test samples (polishing)
* Low strength compressive tests
* Back-up dispatch and data entry duties
* Other duties as required
*Qualifications*
* Previous experience in a materials testing lab is an asset
* Great attitude and willingness to learn
* Good written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to lift and control weights up to 50lb

Since then, we have grown to include a diverse scope of services that now includes specialty testing, materials engineering, geotechnical engineering, environmental consulting, concrete restoration, and quality assurance certification throughout BC and Alberta.
