Job description

*The Opportunity*
Are you looking for a different kind of entry level job in the construction industry?
Metro Testing + Engineering is one of the busiest construction materials testing companies in Western Canada and we are hiring technicians for our Burnaby testing facility. The technicians will be preparing samples for testing. They will be working with concrete, aggregate, soils and asphalt.
No experience needed and we will provide the training.
*What will you get:*
* $21-22/hr

*Job Duties & Responsibilities *
* Organizing and demolding cubes and cube molds
* Trimming samples
* Capping Cores
* Preparing Air void Test samples (polishing)
* Low strength compressive tests
* Back-up dispatch and data entry duties
* Other duties as required
*Qualifications*
* Previous experience in a materials testing lab is an asset
* Great attitude and willingness to learn
* Good written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to lift and control weights up to 50lb
