Work Environment

This position is primarily remote, allowing for flexibility while ensuring you remain an integral part of our dynamic team. As part of a community health clinic, you will collaborate with a dedicated group of healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, primary care physicians, and other social workers. You will have access to advanced technological tools, including electronic health records (EHRs), to manage patient records and facilitate seamless care coordination.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive psychotherapy and mental health services to patients facing conditions such as anxiety, depression, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
• Conduct in-depth mental health assessments and evaluations, focusing on emotional, behavioral, and social functioning to inform treatment plans.
• Develop tailored treatment plans that are evidence-based and culturally competent, addressing each patient's unique needs and incorporating input from their support networks.
• Engage in ongoing monitoring of patient progress, adjusting treatment strategies as necessary based on patient feedback and clinical assessments.
• Educate and support patients and their families about mental health conditions, available treatment options, and community resources to foster a holistic approach to wellness.
• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare providers to ensure an integrated approach to patient care.
• Adhere strictly to ethical standards and professional guidelines, ensuring patient confidentiality and informed consent at all times.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work will primarily focus on a diverse patient population, including individuals from various backgrounds and ages experiencing mental health issues. You will play a critical role in destigmatizing mental health care, especially within underserved communities in Tacoma, where access to quality mental health services can be limited.

Qualifications

• A Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
• Current state licensure as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW).
• A minimum of 2 years of demonstrated experience in providing psychotherapy and mental health services.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to cultivate trusting relationships with patients and collaborate effectively with colleagues.
• Strong clinical acumen, especially in conducting assessments and developing clinically sound treatment plans.
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHRs) and other healthcare software for effective patient management and reporting.
• A comprehensive understanding of various mental health conditions and the specific challenges faced by patients.
• Commitment to professional ethics, including confidentiality and respect for patient autonomy.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in a community health or clinic setting.
• Advanced training in evidence-based therapeutic modalities (e.g., CBT, DBT).
• Familiarity with multicultural counseling approaches.

Compensation and Benefits
