We are seeking a data scientist with a proven track record of developing and implementing tested solutions to real business problems. Ideal candidates will have:

Demonstrated Impact: Previous experience in crafting and deploying data-driven solutions that have yielded measurable impact on business objectives. Candidates should showcase their ability to collaborate effectively with engineering teams to implement these solutions seamlessly into operational workflows.

Business Problem Solving: Proficiency in identifying and addressing complex business challenges through mathematical, scientific, or machine learning methodologies. Candidates should be able to illustrate their problem-solving approach and the tangible benefits derived from their solutions.

Validation and Testing: Experience in designing and conducting rigorous experiments, including A/B testing, to validate the effectiveness of proposed solutions. Candidates should highlight their ability to ensure the reliability and robustness of their methodologies through thorough testing procedures.

Collaborative Engineering Support: Capability to work closely with engineering teams to integrate data solutions into existing infrastructure. Candidates should demonstrate their capacity to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and leverage engineering support to drive successful implementation.

What you will be doing:

• Partner with internal teams to develop working mathematical, scientific, Client solutions to their problems.

• Prove a solution by designing experiments that can be validated offline and/or online (A/B testing, etc.)

• With the aid of your manager, plan launch phases of solutions, judging each phase by its effort vs impact.

• Gain deep understanding of our data through either exploratory data analysis or communication with stakeholders

• Communicate complex ideas logically and clearly, using data visualization and presentations.

Experience and qualifications:

• Masters or Ph.D. in math, science, engineering, statistics, or other quantitative fields

• 3+ years of professional experience in a data scientist/data analytics role, having solved real business problems with math, science and machine learning

• Experience with statistical concepts such as regression, properties of distribution, and statistical tests and their proper usage and application.

• Experience with regression and classification Client techniques, such as linear regression and tree-based algorithms including boosting, random forest, and decision trees.

• Experience with experiment design and A/B testing

• Experience with SQL and Python, along with data, math, machine learning experience

• Experience with some visualization frameworks such as Scikit-learn, SciPy, Pandas, XGBoost, LightGBM, Catboost, Matplotlib, Seaborn etc.

• Preferred experience with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB

• Preferred experience with dashboard and visualization tools such as Data Studio and or Google Analytics 4
