Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)

Location: Tucson, AZ
Contract: 46 Weeks
Start Date: August 31, 2026
End Date: July 12, 2027
Schedule: Monday-Friday | 6:45 AM-3:15 PM

Job Summary

We are seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide comprehensive speech and language services to students in a school-based setting. The SLP will conduct evaluations, develop individualized treatment plans, support IEP goals, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and provide services primarily through a classroom integration/push-in model.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide speech-language pathology services to students with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
  • Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations and participate in multidisciplinary evaluation team (MET) meetings.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and communication goals.
  • Attend and lead IEP meetings as the SLP service coordinator.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, special education staff, and multidisciplinary teams to support student needs.
  • Provide speech and language therapy primarily through a classroom integration/push-in model.
  • Support students with Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices and communication systems.
  • Supervise and support Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) when applicable.
  • Provide coaching and consultation to classroom staff regarding speech, language, and communication strategies.
  • Monitor student progress and document achievement toward IEP goals.
  • Maintain accurate clinical and educational documentation, including IEP records and Medicaid billing.
  • Participate in staff training, professional development, and school team meetings.
  • Maintain consistent attendance and comply with school and program policies.
Caseload & Service Model
  • Caseload varies based on staffing needs and may reach up to 70 students during peak staffing periods.
  • Primarily a push-in/classroom-based service delivery model rather than traditional one-on-one therapy.
  • Experience managing a high-volume school-based caseload is preferred.
