Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations to understand client needs and tailor therapeutic interventions accordingly.
• Implement individualized therapy strategies utilizing various modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and psychodynamic approaches.
• Facilitate group sessions and provide family and couples therapy, employing evidence-based practices that support emotional healing and growth.
• Document all clinical interactions thoroughly, adhering to legal and ethical standards while ensuring confidentiality and client privacy.
• Engage in ongoing professional development through workshops and training, keeping abreast of the latest advancements in mental health research and therapeutic methodologies.
• Collaborate with a network of healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive care plans that address the multifaceted needs of clients.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on serving a diverse array of clients from various backgrounds, including those facing challenges related to anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use, and family dynamics. Our clinic is especially dedicated to supporting individuals with limited access to mental health services, making it essential that you approach each client with empathy and respect, understanding the unique barriers they may face.

Qualifications

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field is required.
• An active and unrestricted Professional Counselor (LPC) licensure in the state of New Jersey is essential.
• At least two years of counseling experience in a clinical setting is necessary, demonstrating your ability to provide effective mental health services.
• Proficiency in utilizing electronic medical records (EMR) software for documentation and client management is required.

Preferred Experience

• Specialization in family therapy, trauma-informed care, or substance use disorders is highly desirable.
• A strong understanding of legal and ethical standards in mental health practice is preferred.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with a diverse clientele.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a healthcare team to enhance client outcomes.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges from $70,000 to $90,000, depending on your experience and the caseload assigned to you.
