Job description

Assistant Director of Operations
(non-Degree)
FLSA: Exempt
Reports To: Director of Operations
Physical Requirements: Bending, pulling, lifting, standing, sitting, walking etc.
Hours of Work: 40 hours per week. M-F 8a-4:30p; Additional evening, weekend, holiday hours as needed or assigned for fire drill observation, Administrative on-call, site visits and agency events.
Job Summary:
Responsible for oversight of day and residential services. Ensure strategic plan goals and CQL plans are implemented and achieved. Ensure all regulatory requirements are met. Ensure person-centered supports and develop collaborative teams.
Job Qualifications:
    1. High School Diploma/GED is required.
    2. Minimum seven years of administrative and progressive supervisory experience required.
    3. Minimum of three years prior experience working directly with individuals with developmental disabilities and/or related human services program experience required.
  1. Must demonstrate proven leadership, communication, fiscal and administrative skills.
  2. Must be able to read, write and speak the English language.
  3. Valid NYS Driver's License that meets agency standards and reliable transportation

Major Responsibilities:
  1. Maintain a working knowledge of and ensure compliance with all regulations, including but not limited to, State and Federal regulations, and the associated agency policies and procedures.
  2. Manage and maintain monthly budget, staffing, overtime and other expenses to ensure budgetary and safety compliance.
  3. Ensure all required billing documents are gathered, reviewed and submitted to QIDP for review.
  4. Supervise assigned Managers, including regularly scheduled contact meetings, completing annual performance reviews, and assisting with continued development.
  5. Ensure Life-centered planning and attainment of personal outcomes.
  6. Ensure house and program maintenance needs and capital improvement projects are identified for the work order report and capital maintenance budget.
  7. Ensure that direct support levels are identified and positions are filled for all services to include relief/floater pool.
  8. Review site staffing and overtime reports each pay period with Program Managers and adjust according to agency policy and procedure. Communicate requests for changes or modifications to the Operations Directors, assessing financial and operational impact.
  9. Attend site meetings at least quarterly.
