Are you ready to gain hands-on experience on a major highway construction project and see firsthand how large-scale infrastructure comes to life? Lane is seeking ambitious, motivated, and career-focused Construction Interns to join our team and support a tunneling project in Pittsburgh, PA.
This internship offers a unique opportunity to work alongside experienced construction professionals, develop technical and leadership skills, and gain real-world exposure to the heavy civil construction industry. You'll contribute to meaningful projects while building a strong foundation for a future career in construction.
What You'll Do
As a Construction Intern, you'll work closely with project teams in both field and office environments, assisting with a variety of project activities, including:
  • Assisting with procurement activities.
  • Supporting survey and layout operations.
  • Assisting project safety professionals with safety-related initiatives and documentation.
  • Reading and interpreting construction plans and drawings.
  • Drafting and preparing project submittals.
  • Supporting Foremen and Superintendents with daily field operations.
  • Working alongside construction crews onsite to gain practical construction experience.
  • Learning and utilizing industry-leading software such as HCSS HeavyBid, Bluebeam, and Primavera.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.

  • Eagerness to learn and contribute in both office and field settings.
