Job description

Job Title: Operations Analyst

Department: Operations

Supervisor: Director of Operations

Location: Battleboro Office

Pay Type: Salaried Position

Hiring Range: DOQ

Position Summary

Provides analysis and recommendations for operational performance improvement and effectiveness. Develops and produces reports that define, track, and update Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s). Develops and produces reports to guide forecasting or production demand for tractors, implements, accessories, and related items needed for assembly operations.

Develops and produces reports that consolidate forecasted production schedules for all assembly locations. Tracks and reports actual production vs scheduled production. May troubleshoot and make recommendations to improve operations processes and activities.


Position Duties and Responsibilities

  • Consolidates Production Plans. Collects production plans from all locations and produces a consolidated production plan that forecasts production across all assembly locations. Produces a production report with a minimum of 2-weeks projected production. Maintains this on a 2-week rolling timeline. Tracks actual production against actual to identify variances.


  • Develops and produces Operational KPIs. Develops and produces a dashboard of operational KPI’s. Maintains KPI’s on a weekly basis. Tracks actual performance against KPI Targets to identify variances.


  • Develops and produces demand forecast. Utilizes available data and assumptions to develop and produce demand forecasts for the production of tractors, implements, accessories, DIA kits etc.


  • Makes recommendations for inventory allocation. Reviews demand for each location and makes recommendations for inventory allocation required to meet each location’s demand.


  • Reports aged and obsolete inventory. Develops and produces reports showing aged and obsolete inventory by location. Assists with semi-annual inventory and cycle counts.




  • Internal Relationships. Understands the inter-dependent relationships within the Company across functional boundaries and builds credibility as a team player and contributor across those groups. Establishes and maintains strong relationships with colleagues within LS Tractor.


  • Teamwork and Collaboration. Acts as a member of the Operations Team. May provide and/or receive input from across functional boundaries. Understands organizational mesh points and potential synergies. Integrates team efforts across business segments and channels.

Minimum Requirements:

Education and Experience

  • Bachelors’ degree in business, industrial engineering or related field, experience may be used in lieu of formal education.
  • 4 years of progressive experience in manufacturing/assembly operations, including data analysis, report development, and KPI reporting
  • Must have experience developing operational reports and managing data.
  • Demonstrated experience showing very high level of understanding of relevant systems/applications, including Microsoft Office, SAP experience preferred.
  • Experience in Power BI data consolidation and BI report creation highly priority preferred

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities

  • Strong analytical and computer systems and applications ability.
  • Solid presentation and communication skills.
  • High level of proficiency with developing and producing reports form data.
  • Must be innovative and performance and quality driven.
  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel and Powerpoint and/or relevant software packages.
  • Prefer knowledge of SAP applications used by LSTA.
  • Resourcefulness and problem-solving aptitude.
  • Must be able to collaborate across the organization and build strong partnerships with all stakeholders in the organization.
  • Fluency in Korean and English language preferred.
