Job description

JOB TITLE : Operations Supervisor – 2nd Shift
JOB TYPE : Direct-Hire
LOCATION : Yonkers, NY – On-site
START DATE : September/October 2026
SHIFT : Monday–Friday, 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM
We are seeking an experienced Operations Supervisor to lead a frontline team in a fast-paced operational environment. This role is best suited for a proven people leader who can manage day-to-day execution, develop employees, address performance issues, and maintain accountability across a sizable hourly workforce.
Responsibilities
  • Lead the daily activities of approximately 20–30 frontline employees, including work assignments, staffing adjustments, and execution against operational goals.
  • Conduct performance reviews, deliver coaching and feedback, and manage employee performance through clear expectations and accountability.
  • Handle corrective and disciplinary matters in partnership with Human Resources, including documentation and employee meetings.
  • Maintain a visible leadership presence with the team and actively support employee engagement, development, and retention.
  • Monitor workflow, productivity, quality, and operational issues, taking appropriate action to resolve problems and maintain performance.
  • Support employee training and ensure team members are prepared to perform their assigned responsibilities safely and effectively.
  • Partner with internal departments and leadership on process improvements, equipment-related initiatives, and broader operational priorities.

Qualifications
  • 4+ years of supervisory experience with direct responsibility for frontline employees.
  • Demonstrated experience managing a sizable hourly workforce, ideally including teams of approximately 20–30 or more employees.
  • Proven experience conducting performance reviews, coaching employees, and managing performance concerns.
  • Hands-on experience managing corrective and disciplinary actions in partnership with Human Resources.
  • Experience supervising employees in a production, operations, warehouse, distribution, or similarly structured environment.
  • Strong ability to direct work across multiple operational areas while balancing staffing, workflow, quality, and productivity needs.
  • Demonstrated leadership, communication, problem-solving, judgment, and decision-making skills.
