Work Environment

The work setting is entirely onsite within a modern hospital environment, equipped with cutting-edge medical equipment necessary for ENT assessments and procedures. As a full-time team member, you will engage in a standard 40-hour workweek, with typical clinic hours from Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. This role may also entail on-call responsibilities, offering 24/7 coverage to address emergencies and patient needs as they arise.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive medical assessments of patients presenting with various ENT conditions to establish an accurate diagnosis.
  • Formulate and implement individualized treatment plans based on thorough evaluations, which may include prescribing medications and recommending therapies.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic imaging and lab tests, such as CT scans, MRIs, and audiometric evaluations, to aid in the diagnosis and treatment process.
  • Educate patients and their families about ENT disorders, treatment options, and preventive care strategies, ensuring they are well-informed and comfortable with their care plans.
  • Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals to coordinate patient care, share insights, and develop integrated care plans.
  • Maintain comprehensive and accurate medical records in compliance with regulatory standards and organizational policies, utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems effectively.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development, participating in training sessions and staying updated with the latest advancements and research in the field of ENT.
Patient Population / Client Focus

The ENT Physician Assistant will serve a diverse patient population that includes children and adults with a wide array of ENT conditions, from allergies and sinus issues to complex head and neck disorders. This role is vital in ensuring high-quality outcomes through personalized care and effective communication with patients and their families.

Qualifications
  • A valid and current Physician Assistant (PA) license is required for this role.
  • A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program is essential, providing the foundational knowledge and skills necessary for practice.
  • Demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills are critical for developing rapport with patients and fostering a collegial work environment.
  • Experience working in a collaborative, team-based healthcare environment is essential to successful integration within our multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Experience
  • While a minimum of two years of experience is required, candidates with more than five years of experience in outpatient ENT settings will be viewed favorably.

  • Active participation in professional organizations and continued education in the field of otolaryngology is preferred.
