DEPARTMENT: CODE COMPLIANCE BARGAINING UNIT: AFSCME HOURLY PAY Code Compliance Officer I ($28.1753 - $36.8805) INCENTIVES MAY INCLUDE: $100 per pay period - bilingual stipend $100/month - uniform allowance | 5% - shift differential Wellness reimbursement, tuition reimbursement, and much more

The ideal candidate, under general supervision, performs technical work in the investigation and enforcement of City codes, ordinances, and abatement regulations; performs related work as assigned. WORK SCHEDULE: Must be available to work any shift, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. To Qualify for Code Compliance Officer I: Equivalent to graduation from high school and; Two years of experience in code enforcement, compliance, public administration, investigative research, municipal operations, or a related field that involves interpreting and applying regulations, conducting research, or providing direct public service and enforcement support.

Additional Requirements: - Possession of, or ability to obtain within 6 months of employment, a California Penal Code Section 832 Certificate. - Possess and maintain a valid and appropriate California Driver's License and maintain a satisfactory driving record.
