JOB TITLE: System Integration and Test Engineer
LOCATION: Foster City, CA (Onsite)
PAY RANGE: $82 - $92/hr.
DURATION: 6 Months TOP 3 SKILLS: - 6+ years of experience in vehicle system development and integration testing
- Expertise in automotive electrical architecture and communication protocols (CAN, LIN, Ethernet), including troubleshooting using tools like DMM, oscilloscope, logic analyzers, and schematics
- Ability in system integration testing, data analysis, and issue resolution using automotive diagnostic and instrumentation tools (e.g., Vector CANalyzer, ETAS INCA, Intrepid, CSM) with strong documentation skills (JIRA, Confluence)
Job Description: The Systems Integration and Test team is responsible for ensuring robust system performance for vehicle-centric systems in Motion, Body, and EE Architecture domains. The team is also responsible for investigating vehicle system integration issues found during testing and service operations.
You will leverage your deep expertise in electric vehicle development, systems engineering, and hands-on testing to drive end-to-end integration of our complex vehicle platform. Your work will be critical in ensuring world-class reliability for our Robotaxi Service Operations.
Responsibilities: - Conduct integration testing at the bench and vehicle levels to characterize system performance under nominal and off-nominal conditions.
- Conduct data analysis to identify integration risks and work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to mitigate the impact on the program and milestones
- Drive issue resolution for complex system integration problems found during vehicle testing and fleet service operations
- Support the development and commissioning of test benches and instrumentation setups
- Identify potential improvements in system behavior, controls and diagnostics monitors
- Create and maintain documentation to track progress using tools like JIRA and Confluence
Qualifications: - BS or equivalent in Electrical Engineering or related disciplines
- Experience: 6+ years in vehicle system development and testing roles
- Experience with vehicle electrical architecture and automotive communication protocols like CAN, LIN, and Ethernet
- Experience with Instrumentation and Data Acquisition Tools like Vector CanAlyzer, ETAS INCA, Intrepid, CSM, etc.)
- Hands-on electrical troubleshooting skills (DMM, Oscilloscope, electrical schematics, Saleae Logic Analyzer, etc.)
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Bonus Qualifications: - Experience with real-time embedded control system development
- Experience conducting testing in xIL Environment
- Experience with Grafana and other data analysis toolsets
