Position Overview

Integro Physical Therapy is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our outpatient rehabilitation team in West Hartford, Connecticut. In this full-time role, you will work directly under the guidance of licensed Physical Therapists, assisting in the implementation and delivery of custom treatment plans that address the unique needs of our patients. Work Environment

This position is located in a state-of-the-art outpatient facility within a hospital setting, equipped with advanced rehabilitation technology and spacious therapy spaces. Our clinic operates Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing you to maintain a healthy work-life balance while providing high-quality care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist Physical Therapists in executing personalized treatment plans, ensuring that each patient receives the most effective care tailored to their specific needs.
  • Guide patients through a variety of therapeutic exercises and functional activities, employing techniques designed to improve mobility and reduce pain.
  • Administer hands-on care, utilizing modalities such as ultrasound or electrical stimulation, and incorporate manual techniques as prescribed by the supervising Physical Therapist.
  • Continuously monitor patient progress, diligently documenting treatment outcomes and any changes in condition to keep the Physical Therapy team informed.
  • Educate patients on their rehabilitation journey, encouraging engagement and adherence to prescribed home exercise programs and lifestyle modifications.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe clinic environment to ensure the well-being of patients and staff.
Patient Population / Client Focus

At Integro, our patient demographic varies widely. You will work with a diverse group ranging from athletes recovering from sports injuries to individuals post-surgery and those dealing with chronic pain issues. Your role will involve providing compassionate support and delivering interventions aimed at improving functionality and quality of life for each patient you encounter.

Qualifications
  • Completion of an Associate’s Degree from a CAPTE-accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
  • Current licensure or eligibility to obtain a Physical Therapist Assistant license in Connecticut.
  • A genuine passion for promoting mobility and fostering recovery in patients.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to connect and empathize with patients from various backgrounds.
  • Capability to work both independently and as part of a cohesive team.
  • Professional demeanor, reliability, and a commitment to personal and professional growth.
Preferred Experience
  • 2+ years of professional experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
  • Familiarity with outpatient orthopedic patient populations or specialization in related treatment areas.
  • Experience in utilizing electronic medical records (EMR) systems for documentation and patient management.
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary ranging from $60,000 to $75,000 annually, commensurate with experience, alongside a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
