Job description

Night Auditor/Security Officer

Use your attention to detail and desire for routine to create memorable guest experiences!

As a Night Auditor/Security Officer, you will work overnight to oversee hotel operations, ensuring both financial accuracy and a safe, secure environment for guests and team members. This role is responsible for completing end-of-day audits and reconciling daily transactions while maintaining a consistent on-site presence to monitor the property.

By upholding company policies, responding to incidents, and proactively identifying potential concerns, you will help create a secure and welcoming atmosphere. Your attention to detail, strong judgment, and problem-solving skills will contribute to operational efficiency and an exceptional guest experience during overnight hours.

Responsibilities
  • Review daily transactions and checklists for completion and accuracy.
  • Ensure all guests are served promptly and courteously.
  • Apply problem solving skills to resolve guest issues to their satisfaction.
  • Follow proper cash handling procedures and be able to post and reconcile charges applied to guest receipts.
  • Ensure emergency notification procedures are followed in the event of issues taking place overnight.
  • Communicate effectively between all shifts and departments.
  • Perform security walks throughout the hotel property and grounds, both inside and outside.
  • Know hotel emergency procedures and how to assist employees and guests when necessary.
  • Maintain key control procedures.
  • Ensure communication ability with the Front Desk is maintained at all times.
  • Ensure logs are filled out with detail.
  • Assist all guests with a warm, hospitable demeanor.
  • Support the goals of the hotel through teamwork and collaboration with all departments.
Qualifications

Previous customer service experience with proven ability to thrive working the overnight shift is ideal. To be successful in this role, you need strong verbal and written communication skills. You must be able to read, write, type and use basic technology. This job requires you to stand for an entire shift and you also must be able to lift at least 25 pounds. Applicants must be available to work weekends and holidays.
