Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our team at Inner Wisdom Psychotherapy Center. In this full-time remote role, you will provide essential therapeutic services to a diverse clientele, including individuals, couples, families, and groups. Your primary responsibility will be to assess clients' mental health needs, develop tailored treatment plans, and implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions aimed at fostering mental well-being and personal growth.

Work Environment

This position is entirely remote, allowing you to serve clients from the comfort of your home while providing essential therapy via telehealth platforms. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate clients' mental health concerns, formulate clinical diagnoses, and create comprehensive treatment plans tailored to individual needs.
• Deliver individual, group, and family therapy utilizing evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and other therapeutic modalities suited to the client’s goals.
• Provide crisis intervention services to clients experiencing acute mental health emergencies, ensuring they receive immediate and effective support.
• Maintain meticulous and confidential client records, including treatment plans and progress notes, adhering to ethical and legal standards for confidentiality.
• Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team, which may include psychiatrists and social workers, to coordinate comprehensive care for clients and ensure continuity of treatment.
• Educate clients and their families about mental health issues and treatment options, advocating for their rights and needs in the process.
• Engage in ongoing professional development through training sessions, workshops, and staying current with best practices in the mental health field.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work with a varied patient population, including children, adolescents, and adults facing challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, and transitional life events. Your role is critical in crafting individualized treatment strategies that consider the unique cultural and personal contexts of our clients, helping them to achieve meaningful transformations in their lives.

Qualifications

• Must be a licensed Mental Health Therapist eligible to practice in California (LMFT, LPCC, LCSW).
• Possess a Master's or Doctoral degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or a related field.
• Demonstrate strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills essential for effective client evaluation.
• A minimum of two years of relevant experience in a clinical setting is required.
• Exhibit excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to build trust and rapport with clients.
• Demonstrate the ability to work independently while also being an effective team member.
• Uphold the highest ethical and professional standards in practice.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in a telehealth setting is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with specific therapeutic modalities and techniques that address a wide range of mental health challenges.
• Experience working with diverse populations and an understanding of cultural competence in therapy.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 85,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
