Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments to identify and evaluate clients' mental health needs and formulate appropriate clinical interventions.
• Design, implement, and adapt individualized, evidence-based treatment plans based on each client’s unique goals and circumstances.
• Provide individual therapy, couples therapy, and facilitate group therapy sessions using a variety of therapeutic modalities to address issues such as anxiety, depression, PTSD, and mood disorders.
• Collaborate regularly with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatry, social work, and other counselors, to ensure holistic treatment for all clients.
• Maintain detailed and accurate client records, adhering to ethical guidelines and legal requirements to safeguard client confidentiality.
• Engage in ongoing professional development through supervision and case conferences, including staying current with best practices in the industry.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Qualifications

• A valid license as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Georgia is required.
• A Master's degree in clinical mental health counseling or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Demonstrated experience in conducting individual and group therapy within mental health contexts, highlighting a strong track record of successful outcomes.
• Familiarity with evidence-based therapeutic techniques and a strong understanding of the best practices in mental health treatment.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients from various backgrounds and experiences.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, vital for reporting, documentation, and coordination with team members.
• A commitment to ethical principles, including maintaining confidentiality and adhering to industry standards.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in teletherapy settings, with proficiency in using virtual counseling software.
• Additional certifications in specialized therapy approaches or modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), or trauma-informed care.
• A history of collaborative work in interdisciplinary teams to optimize client care.
