Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations of clients’ mental health concerns to inform individualized treatment plans.
• Provide evidence-based individual therapy sessions using modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) or Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), tailored to the distinct needs of each client.
• Establish collaborative therapeutic goals with clients, and regularly track their progress through detailed records and follow-up sessions.
• Offer teletherapy options for clients who prefer virtual interactions or face transportation barriers, ensuring equitable access to mental health care.
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation that meets ethical standards and helps monitor treatment efficacy in accordance with regulatory requirements.
• Actively participate in ongoing professional development by engaging in training sessions, workshops, and peer-reviewed literature to stay current with emerging practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, you will work with a diverse clientele, including individuals experiencing trauma, anxiety, depression, and other mental health issues. Our clients come from various socio-economic backgrounds, and many face unique challenges related to accessibility and stigma regarding mental health care. Your role will be critical in providing support, understanding, and effective treatment plans aimed at improving their overall quality of life.

Qualifications

• A valid license in the state of New Jersey as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).
• A Master’s degree or higher in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, essential for establishing trust and rapport with clients.
• A compassionate and empathetic demeanor, with a non-judgmental attitude towards clients' experiences and challenges.
• Effective organizational and time-management skills, allowing you to manage a varied caseload efficiently while fulfilling administrative responsibilities.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in a community health setting, particularly with diverse populations facing socio-economic barriers.
• Proficiency in various therapeutic modalities and familiarity with teletherapy platforms.
• History of collaboration with other health care professionals to provide integrated care.

• A competitive annual salary between $80,000 and $100,000, commensurate with experience and caseload.
