Job description
We're seeking a Manager, Technology Recruiting to lead a high-performing team responsible for driving business-critical hiring across MongoDB's technical functions, including collaboration with multiple C-suite and senior executives. In this role, you will elevate the technology recruiting organization from an executional capacity into a strategic business partner by implementing best-in-class hiring practices and fostering an enterprise mindset rooted in alignment, innovation, and operational excellence, during our ongoing scaling phase.
The ideal candidate will have a strong ability to zoom in, to fine-tune the details of the recruiting process to ensure top-tier execution, and zoom out to provide insights and strategic guidance to senior business leaders. You will use data, analytics, and forecasting to inform hiring strategies, anticipate challenges, mitigate risks, and ensure that MongoDB is positioned to meet ambitious hiring goals as we grow. Furthermore, a leadership mindset is essential: you will guide and inspire a talented team of individual contributors, cultivating personal and team development, business alignment, and results.
This is a key leadership role that demands curiosity, ingenuity, operational excellence, and the ability to influence key stakeholders across the company. In this role, you will- Strategically Guide Tech Recruiting: Partner closely with key stakeholders in senior leadership and C-suite roles to synchronize talent acquisition strategies with broader business priorities. Build and evolve a framework that positions tech recruiting as a proactive business partner
- Drive Operational Excellence: Refine, optimize and enable recruiting systems and workflows to ensure highly efficient execution. Empower your team to deliver measurable outcomes through best practices, streamlined processes, and innovative tools that drive scalability
- Coach, Develop, and Lead Your Team: Provide intentional leadership to your group of high-performing recruiters. Serve as a mentor and guide, instilling confidence, focus, and consistency while helping your team grow their skills and impact
- Collaborate Across the Business: Work with leaders across MongoDB to anticipate hiring needs, identify obstacles, and ensure alignment among priorities, elevating recruiting's ability to serve as a true enterprise-level function
- Leverage Data to Inform Strategy: Lead with analytics by interpreting deep data insights to identify trends, inform decision-making, and proactively manage risk. Advocate for accurate data integrity as you provide hiring updates, forecasts, and recommendations to executive stakeholders
- Implement Innovative Solutions: Embrace cutting-edge recruiting tools, workflows, and AI-enabled strategies to optimize sourcing, talent pipelining, and engagement, keeping MongoDB competitive in a rapidly evolving talent landscape
- Align with Long-Term Vision: Bring a builder's mentality to scale MongoDB's tech recruiting function while maintaining agility during periods of high growth and organizational change
- Leadership Experience: 10+ years of progressive recruiting experience, with 4+ years managing teams in fast-paced, high-growth technology environments. Experience recruiting technical talent at scale is required
- Strategic Influence: A demonstrated ability to engage and influence senior leaders, framing recruiting strategies in alignment with business goals and decision-making
- Executive Presence: A confident communication style and ability to deliver thoughtful, concise perspectives on hiring progress, risks, and recommendations to executive teams
- Operational Excellence: Success in developing and implementing scalable processes that prioritize both efficiency and a strong candidate experience while empowering recruiters
- Data-Driven Mindset: Exceptional fluency in interpreting analytics to inform hiring strategies, forecast challenges, and deliver insights to stakeholders in actionable formats
- Global Acumen: Experience working with international teams and navigating recruitment in diverse hiring markets
- Adaptable Leadership: Ability to lead through ambiguity and organizational changes while maintaining momentum and steady performance across your team
