    POSITION OVERVIEW
    Huntington Ingalls Industries is seeking a Facilities Planner 2 to support facilities utilization, maintenance, modification, and building projects. This position will help manage projects from initial planning and design through implementation while ensuring requirements, budgets, schedules, and technical objectives are met.
    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
    • Plan utilization of space and facilities based on organizational requirements, efficiency, available facilities, and funding.
    • Plan and manage equipment and machinery maintenance activities.
    • Support facility modifications and building projects from design concepts through implementation.
    • Define project requirements and support contract and contract change negotiations.
    • Establish and monitor operating budgets, milestones, schedules, and project plans.
    • Serve as a primary contact for facilities, equipment maintenance, and project activities.
    • Lead project reviews involving cost, schedule, and technical performance.
    • Monitor adherence to established plans, budgets, and schedules.
    • Identify project issues and develop solutions involving resources, scope, cost, and schedule.
    • Coordinate activities of employees, contractors, and other project stakeholders.
    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
    • Bachelor's Degree in a related field with 3 years of relevant experience, OR
    • Master's Degree with 1 year of relevant professional experience.
