Staff begins accruing PTO immediately for a total of up to 30 days earned in the first year. We offer employees an educational benefit. Responsibilities:
- Model, advocate, and promote Recovery.
- Guide recoverees in recognizing and removing barriers to full engagement in recovery.
- Use working knowledge of Community resources and how to guide recoverees in accessing them.
- Identify strengths, social and personal interests, and goals to assist recoverees in exploring and developing a comprehensive wellness plan.
- Support individuals in developing the accountability, knowledge, and skills necessary to attain, maintain, and grow recovery/ wellness capital.
- Assist individuals in the development, improvement, and practice of activities for daily living.
- Continuously grow knowledge of multiple pathways of recovery to better serve recoverees.
- Collaborate with related health and community agencies as necessary.
- Complete all necessary documentation (initial engagement, weekly reports, recoveree encounter forms, consents, etc..) in a timely fashion.
- Meet with the recovery coach supervisor on a weekly basis.
- Maintain consistent engagement with recoverees.
Requirements:
- Must have lived recovery experience and identify as actively in recovery.
- Complete/willingness to complete CCAR "Recovery Coach Academy" and related trainings.
- Must have familiarity with general computer knowledge. (e.g., internet, word processing, email systems, etc.)
- Must have or be working towards a high school diploma or GED.
- Knowledge of the interface between mental health, medical, substance use disorder, care management, and related human service systems is a plus.
- Good verbal and written communication skills are necessary to effectively work with teams and related systems.
- A valid driver's license, as well as reliable transportation, is favorable to reach participants effectively.
