Description

Essential Duties

The volunteer promotes HOPE, Inc. as the premier peer support organization to the behavioral health community and prospective funding sources.

Collaborates with Center and Program Directors to ensure that necessary material and human resources are available for internal and external events.

Assists with HOPE's social media presence (Facebook, Twitter, etc.)

Works with leadership to publish articles about quantitative outputs and qualitative outcomes.

Coordinates attendance of community events and promotes HOPE services in the community. Manages event registrations, payment, tracking and communications with event organizer.

Follows HOPE's mission and programs.

Coordinates with Marketing and Communications Manager to develop a marketing and/or mailing list for community stakeholders to keep up on HOPE's activities.

Supports fundraising efforts via marketing and social media messaging.

Assists in the creation of style guides and templates for all HOPE internal print and promotional marketing materials. Assists with orders and distributes all external marketing materials. Tracks shipment, payment and invoicing associated with orders.

Creates video content per marketing plan.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Qualifications

Strong organizational skills.

Excellent oral and written communications skills.

Excellent editing skills.

Experience with fundraising and/or community outreach preferred.

Knowledge of behavioral health, criminal justice and human service agencies in Arizona.

Ability to communicate project activities with diverse groups and individuals.

1 year of marketing experience in a nonprofit setting preferred.

(Required) Peer - Individuals must have first-hand knowledge of a behavioral health condition or substance abuse issue, whether or not they received treatment or medication or identify as a family member of someone in recovery.

Must be at least 21 years of age per licensing requirements.

Typically, these skills and knowledge are the result of a combination of practical education in non-profit management, marketing, and peer support and several years of experience in increasingly responsible management positions.
