Work Environment

The Physical Therapist position is onsite at our state-of-the-art rehabilitation facility in Highland Park, NJ. Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist at Encompass Rehabilitation Center, you will:

• Direct and implement individualized physical therapy treatment plans aimed at preventing disabilities, relieving pain, and restoring muscle function.
• Supervise and mentor Physical Therapy Assistants to ensure adherence to prescribed care plans and quality standards.
• Conduct thorough evaluations of client functionality using diagnostic assessments, including tests of muscle, nerve, and joint capabilities.
• Assess clients' home environments to recommend adaptations that enhance independence throughout their rehabilitation journey.
• Administer therapeutic exercises, manual treatments, and other modalities as prescribed by referring physicians.
• Fit and adjust prosthetic and orthotic devices, collaborating with clients and their medical providers for optimal outcomes.
• Prepare and maintain accurate clinical documentation, including initial evaluations, progress notes, care plans, and discharge summaries for each client.
• Engage actively in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss case progress and treatment strategies, ensuring holistic care approaches.
• Offer guidance to clients and their families, educating them on therapeutic devices and overall rehabilitation regimens.
• Maintain compliance with all relevant federal, state, and organizational policies, submitting necessary clinical orders and documentation promptly.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our Physical Therapists work closely with a diverse patient population comprising individuals recovering from surgical procedures, trauma, sports-related injuries, and chronic illness management. Qualifications

To qualify for this position, candidates must possess:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy; a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is preferred.
• A valid physical therapy license in good standing within the state of New Jersey.
• Current CPR certification and a valid driver’s license with automobile insurance.
• Effective interpersonal communication skills and a commitment to delivering high-quality, empathetic patient care.

Preferred Experience

Candidates with at least two years of experience in physical therapy, particularly in acute care or home care settings, will be given preference. Familiarity with standard physical therapy techniques and patient management strategies will enhance your candidacy.

Compensation and Benefits
