Position Overview

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Licensed Mental Health Therapists (LMFT, LMHC, LCSW) to join our team at Helping Hand Behavioral Clinic. Work Environment

This remote position allows you to work from anywhere while ensuring flexible hours that align with the needs of our clients. The standard work schedule runs Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some flexibility required to accommodate client appointments. As part of a collaborative and supportive team, you will engage in regular communications via video and online platforms, utilizing cutting-edge telehealth technology to deliver care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough mental health assessments, including intake evaluations and ongoing assessments, to determine each client’s unique needs and goals.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor personalized treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), solution-focused therapy, and mindfulness practices.
  • Offer both individual and group therapy sessions, facilitating psychoeducational workshops and support groups that foster community and provide psychoeducation related to mental health concerns.
  • Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team including psychiatrists, psychologists, and peer support specialists to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care.
  • Respond to crises by providing timely intervention and support to clients experiencing acute mental health emergencies.
  • Educate clients regarding their mental health conditions, treatment options, and community resources, empowering them with knowledge for better self-management.
  • Maintain meticulous and confidential client records in compliance with all relevant legal and ethical standards.
  • Participate actively in team meetings, case consultations, and ongoing professional development opportunities to refine your skills and stay informed about advancements in mental health therapies.

Qualifications
  • A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.
  • Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of New York is essential.
  • Strong familiarity with mental health disorders and evidence-based treatment modalities.
  • Proven skills in conducting comprehensive assessments and creating effective treatment plans tailored to individual client needs.
  • Experience providing therapy to diverse populations, with a solid understanding of cultural competence.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to connect effectively with clients from all walks of life.
  • Adherence to professional ethics and standards, demonstrating sound judgment in complex situations.
  • Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and computer applications relevant to telehealth service delivery.
Preferred Experience
  • A minimum of two years of direct client care experience in a mental health setting is preferred.
  • Experience in telehealth services and familiarity with online therapy platforms.
  • Evidence of continued education in specialized therapeutic methods or mental health topics is an advantage.
Compensation and Benefits
