Helping Hand Behavioral Clinic is seeking dedicated Mental Health Counselors to join our team in a full-time capacity. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough mental health assessments to identify patient needs, strengths, and areas for improvement.
  • Devise and implement customized treatment plans utilizing evidence-based interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
  • Facilitate individual therapy and group sessions, providing support and psychoeducation to diverse populations.
  • Work closely with a multidisciplinary team, ensuring that treatment approaches are cohesive and comprehensive.
  • Provide crisis intervention and support during acute episodes of mental health distress.
  • Maintain accurate, compliant documentation in accordance with legal and ethical standards to ensure high-quality patient care.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development by attending workshops, conferences, and participating in in-house training sessions.
  • Actively contribute to case consultations and team meetings, sharing knowledge and strategies to enhance patient care.
Patient Population / Client Focus

The ideal candidate will work with a diverse patient population experiencing a range of mental health challenges, including but not limited to depression, anxiety disorders, bipolar disorder, and substance use disorders. Our clinic values cultural competency and encourages therapists to consider the unique backgrounds and experiences of each patient in their treatment approach.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or related field from an accredited institution.
  • Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in Oregon.
  • Strong understanding of mental health disorders and the principles of various therapeutic modalities.
  • Proven expertise in developing and executing effective treatment plans and assessments.
  • Demonstrated experience providing therapeutic services to individuals, couples, and families.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to maintain professionalism and ethical standards in all interactions.
  • Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems and various software applications relevant to therapy practice.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience working in outpatient mental health settings, particularly within community health frameworks.
  • Background in facilitation of psychoeducational or support groups focusing on mental health issues.
  • Familiarity with telehealth modalities for therapy delivery, particularly in light of evolving healthcare needs.
Compensation and Benefits
