Job description

Human Resources Assistant

FiberCom is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Human Resources Assistant to support daily HR operations, recruiting, onboarding, employee documentation, and HR recordkeeping. This role will help ensure employee files, onboarding documents, and HR tracking records are accurate, complete, organized, and up to date.

The ideal candidate is professional, dependable, bilingual in English and Spanish, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with a high volume of employee documentation and communication.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support recruiting activities, including candidate communication, interview scheduling, follow-up, and onboarding coordination.

  • Assist with new hire onboarding processes, including collection, tracking, and organization of required employment documents.

  • Maintain employee personnel files and ensure documentation is accurate, complete, organized, and updated.

  • Assist with I-9, E-Verify, and other required employment documentation processes.

  • Perform data entry and update employee information in HR systems, spreadsheets, and tracking records.

  • Organize, audit, and maintain digital and physical employee documentation and files.

  • Support payroll and employee information processes as needed by helping verify and update employee records.

  • Assist with HR administrative tasks, employee requests, forms, notices, and documentation follow-up.

  • Maintain HR tracking records, reports, spreadsheets, and internal follow-up lists.

  • Handle confidential employee information with professionalism, discretion, and care.

  • Provide general administrative support to the HR department and assist with special projects as needed.

Requirements
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish strongly preferred.

  • Previous experience in administration, Human Resources, recruiting, onboarding, payroll support, or data entry preferred.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.

  • Strong organizational skills and excellent attention to detail.

  • Ability to maintain accurate and organized employee records.

  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong communication, follow-up, and customer service skills.

  • Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.

Preferred Qualifications
  • 1 year Experience in construction, telecommunications, data centers, staffing, or multi-state operations preferred.

  • Bachelor's Degree Preferred.
  • Familiarity with onboarding, employee documentation, recruiting coordination, payroll support, or HR compliance processes.

  • Experience using ADP Workforce Now or other HR/payroll systems is a plus.
