Overview
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) โ€“ Long-Term Care | Utica, NY | Travel - Temporary Assignment | Start 06/29/2026 | 13 weeks | $1,413โ€“$1,499 per week | 37.5 guaranteed hours | Evening shift (2:30 p.m.โ€“10:30 p.m.) in a skilled nursing facility. This travel assignment includes float duties within the same building and requires coverage of patient populations across a 40-bed unit, with emphasis on MS, ortho, dementia, and memory care. EMR is PointClickCare; local candidates within 75 miles may qualify for a local rate.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to adult residents in a long-term care setting, including populations with multiple sclerosis, orthopedic needs, dementia, and memory care.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed; monitor residents for medication effects and safety; document administrations accurately in the EMR.
- Perform ongoing nursing assessments, monitor vital signs, document changes, and implement care plans under supervision of the charge nurse or unit manager.
- Float to all units within the same building as needed; collaborate with licensed staff, nursing assistants, and interdisciplinary team to ensure continuity of care.
- Support activities of daily living, mobility assistance, and basic wound care; manage IV therapy and infection control practices per facility protocol.
- Ensure accurate charting, safe resident handling, fall prevention, and timely communication of changes to the care team; participate in rounds and care conferences as required.
- Comply with all regulatory and facility policies, maintain resident privacy, and uphold standards of safety and quality of care.
Requirements
- Active New York LPN license
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- 1+ year of LPN experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing setting
- Proficiency with PointClickCare or ability to learn quickly
- Able to work evenings (2:30 p.m.โ€“10:30 p.m.) and to cover every other weekend as required
- Ability to float to all units within the same building and function in a 40-bed unit with resident populations including MS, ortho, dementia, and memory care
