The Human Touch Rehab Center is seeking a dedicated and skilled Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our team in Cresskill, New Jersey. As a full-time member of our home care services, you will be instrumental in providing personalized physical therapy treatments designed to enhance the recovery and functional independence of our patients. Work Environment

This role is set within the rewarding sphere of home care, where you will visit patients at their residences in Cresskill and surrounding areas. Working onsite, you will have the opportunity to assess the home environment and customize therapy plans that consider patients’ living conditions. Your schedule will be Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a healthy work-life balance while you provide comprehensive care to patients. You can expect an average patient volume of two patients per hour, ensuring you have ample time to focus on each individual's treatment and progress.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct complete physical evaluations to identify patients’ strengths, limitations, and specific rehabilitation needs.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans that outline clear recovery goals, utilizing evidence-based practices.
• Administer treatments for a wide range of conditions including musculoskeletal, neurological, and cardiovascular issues, adapting your approach to meet changing patient needs.
• Utilize advanced manual therapy techniques and therapeutic exercises tailored to each patient's capabilities and goals, focusing on improving mobility, strength, and function.
• Provide thorough patient education on exercises, postural awareness, and strategies for pain management, enhancing their understanding of their condition and encouraging active participation in their recovery.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, occupational therapists, and nursing staff, to ensure a holistic approach to patient care and comprehensive recovery plans.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on patients within the orthopedic spectrum, including those recovering from surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic pain conditions, among others. You will engage with patients of diverse backgrounds and ages, tailoring your interventions to meet their specific health challenges and objectives. Providing therapy in their own environment allows you to observe factors influencing their recovery and adjust your treatment strategies accordingly.

Qualifications

• A Master's or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Possession of a current active Physical Therapy license in New Jersey.
• A minimum of two years of clinical experience in a rehabilitation setting, preferably with a focus on orthopedic patients.
• Expertise in manual therapy techniques and proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems. Experience with WebPT is advantageous.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in a home care setting, understanding the unique challenges and benefits of working with patients in their own homes.
• Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients, fostering a therapeutic alliance to support motivation and adherence to treatment plans.
• A continuous improvement mindset, with a commitment to staying updated on the latest evidence-based practices in physical therapy.
