Job description

We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Toxicologist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for evaluating the effects of chemicals, pharmaceuticals, and other substances on human health and the environment. You will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to support product safety, regulatory compliance, research initiatives, and risk assessment efforts.

Position Summary

The Toxicologist will conduct toxicological assessments, analyze scientific data, and provide expert guidance related to chemical and biological safety. The ideal candidate will have strong research and analytical skills, experience with regulatory standards, and the ability to communicate complex scientific findings clearly and effectively.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct toxicological evaluations to assess the safety and biological effects of chemicals, pharmaceuticals, and other substances.
  • Design, implement, and oversee laboratory and field studies related to toxicological risk assessment.
  • Analyze and interpret scientific data to identify potential health and environmental hazards.
  • Develop and validate testing protocols, methodologies, and analytical procedures for toxicological studies.
  • Prepare detailed scientific reports, technical documentation, and risk assessment summaries.
  • Collaborate with scientists, researchers, regulatory professionals, and cross-functional teams on product safety and compliance initiatives.
  • Ensure all testing, documentation, and reporting activities comply with applicable regulatory and industry standards, including FDA, EPA, OSHA, and OECD guidelines where applicable.
  • Provide toxicological expertise and recommendations to support product development, safety evaluations, and regulatory submissions.
  • Review current scientific literature, regulatory updates, and industry trends to maintain best practices and scientific accuracy.
  • Present research findings, risk assessments, and recommendations to leadership, clients, and regulatory agencies as needed.
  • Support the development of predictive risk assessment models for new or emerging compounds and substances.
  • Participate in peer reviews, audits, and quality assurance activities to maintain scientific integrity and compliance standards.
Qualifications
  • Master's degree or Ph.D. in Toxicology, Pharmacology, Chemistry, Biological Sciences, or a related scientific field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in toxicology research, laboratory science, pharmaceutical safety, environmental health, or a related field preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of toxicological testing methods, risk assessment principles, and safety evaluation processes.
  • Experience working with applicable regulatory standards and guidance, including FDA, EPA, OSHA, OECD, or related regulatory agencies.
  • Proficiency with laboratory instrumentation, scientific research methodologies, and data analysis software.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
  • Ability to interpret complex scientific data and communicate findings effectively to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to scientific accuracy and regulatory compliance.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Experience with scientific writing, technical reporting, and literature review processes preferred.
