Position Overview

Harris Behavioral Health Center is actively seeking a dedicated and qualified Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our remote team. This full-time position involves providing high-quality mental health counseling to a diverse clientele, including individuals, couples, and families. Work Environment

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients’ mental health needs, utilizing standardized evaluation tools and clinical interviews.
• Develop customized treatment plans based on client assessments, ensuring alignment with evidence-based practices and individual recovery goals.
• Facilitate one-on-one counseling sessions using therapeutic techniques appropriate for the client’s specific challenges, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) or solution-focused therapy.
• Lead group therapy sessions or family counseling as required, fostering a safe space for shared experiences and support.
• Monitor client progress through regular follow-ups and adapt treatment plans as necessary to reflect changing needs and outcomes.
• Thoroughly document each client interaction, ensuring all progress, concerns, and treatment adjustments are accurately recorded in our electronic medical record (EMR) system.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of mental health professionals, including psychiatrists and social workers, to provide comprehensive care and facilitate client referrals when needed.
• Engage in ongoing professional development by participating in training sessions, workshops, and seminars that focus on emerging mental health practices and therapeutic approaches.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work with a varied client base that encompasses adults, adolescents, and families experiencing a range of mental health conditions, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and adjustment disorders. Your role will not only focus on individual therapy but will also include encouraging family engagement and support initiatives to enhance the therapeutic process.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in psychology, counseling, social work, or a closely related field is required.
• Must hold a valid license to practice as a mental health counselor in Massachusetts.
• At least two years of experience in a clinical mental health counseling role is mandatory, demonstrating ongoing client-facing skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with an emphasis on building rapport and trust with clients.
• A collaborative team-oriented mindset with a dedication to providing holistic client care.

Preferred Experience

• Master’s degree in mental health counseling or a related discipline is preferred.
• Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems to manage client data and treatment notes efficiently.
• Familiarity with teletherapy platforms and remote counseling strategies is highly advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits

Harris Behavioral Health Center offers a competitive salary ranging from $85,000 to $95,000 annually, commensurate with experience, along with a sign-on bonus.
