Key Responsibilities

• Develop individualized therapy plans by conducting thorough assessments and evaluations of clients' needs and mental health challenges.
• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions to a diverse client base, including individuals, couples, families, and groups.
• Utilize a variety of tailored therapeutic techniques, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), psychodynamic techniques, and solution-focused brief therapy.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of professionals to ensure comprehensive client care and optimal treatment outcomes.
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date clinical documentation and records while adhering to legal and ethical standards of practice.
• Engage in continuous professional development by attending workshops and staying informed about the latest advancements in mental health treatment and research.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary focus of this role is to assist individuals and families who may have limited access to mental health care. Our clientele often experiences various mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance abuse. By providing essential therapeutic support through telehealth, you will play a vital role in enhancing clients' mental health and emotional resilience.

Qualifications

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.
• An active and unrestricted license to practice as a Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Virginia.
• A minimum of two years of professional counseling experience, preferably in a clinical or telehealth context.
• Strong understanding of legal, ethical, and clinical standards in mental health practice.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, enabling you to establish rapport with a diverse clientele.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team to provide holistic care.
• Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) software and related digital technologies for documentation and client management.

Preferred Experience

• Specialization in areas such as family therapy, couples therapy, trauma, or substance misuse is highly desirable.
• A proven track record of delivering high-quality counseling to a varied client base.
• Experience working in a telehealth setting, adapting to new technologies and methodologies effectively.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary range of $70,000 to $90,000 annually, commensurate with experience and caseload availability. You will also receive comprehensive benefits, including health, dental, and vision insurance, malpractice insurance coverage, and assistance with billing and documentation to reduce your administrative workload. Additionally, new team members will be eligible for a significant sign-on bonus, with details to be provided during the interview process.
