Work Environment

This remote position allows flexibility and enables our therapists to provide care from the comfort of their homes while working for a leading detox center. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments that are sensitive to the unique cultural backgrounds and experiences of patients to formulate tailored treatment plans.
• Deliver individual, family, and group therapy sessions employing evidence-based therapeutic techniques while considering cultural contexts that affect mental health.
• Engage in active collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists and psychologists, to provide comprehensive care that meets the holistic needs of each patient.
• Effectively manage crisis situations by providing immediate intervention and support during mental health emergencies, ensuring patient safety and stability.
• Educate patients and their families on mental health issues, exploring various treatment options and available community resources to empower families.
• Document patient interactions meticulously to adhere to legal and ethical standards while ensuring confidentiality and accuracy in electronic health records (EHR).
• Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and ongoing cultural competency training, contributing to a collaborative work culture.
• Stay abreast of current research, best practices, and emerging trends in mental health therapy to enhance therapeutic skills and knowledge.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will predominantly work with a diverse clientele, from ethnic and cultural minorities to members of the LGBTQ+ community and individuals from varying socioeconomic backgrounds. Your expertise will primarily empower those facing unique challenges, allowing you to play a critical role in enhancing their resilience and overall well-being through tailored interventions.

Qualifications

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• A valid state license as an LMFT, LMHC, or LICSW is mandatory.
• In-depth understanding of common mental health disorders and proficiency in evidence-based treatment approaches.
• Proven experience providing therapeutic services in a culturally responsive manner, ensuring inclusivity in treatment.
• Strong crisis management capabilities, showing composure in challenging situations.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, enabling strong rapport building with patients from diverse backgrounds.
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems and general computer applications for documentation and reporting.
• A commitment to ethical practice, professional boundaries, and maintaining confidentiality in all patient interactions.

Preferred Experience

• Demonstrated proficiency in delivering both individual and group therapy, using culturally sensitive methodologies.
• Experience collaborating within multidisciplinary team settings to provide holistic patient care.
• Familiarity with the detox environment and the specific mental health challenges associated with substance use.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 70,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
