This role plays a key part in maintaining compliance with accounting standards, improving financial procedures, and assisting management with financial analysis and decision-making.Key Responsibilities:Complete general ledger functions, including journal entries and account reconciliationsEnsure timely and accurate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processesManage fixed assets, depreciation schedules, and related reportingManage prepaid and accrual accountsIntercompany Payable/Receivable reconciliation across all entitiesPrepare payroll and payroll related journal entriesAnalyze financial results and investigate variancesSupport external audits, tax filings, and regulatory reportingIdentify process improvement opportunities and implement accounting best practicesQualifications & Requirements:Required:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA (Contador Público Certificado) or equivalent preferred4–7+ years of progressive accounting experienceStrong knowledge of GAAP (or applicable accounting framework)Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite)Experience with financial close processes and reconciliationsStrong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skillsPreferredCertified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent certificationExperience in public accounting or a similar industryFamiliarity with ERP systems and financial reporting toolsKey Competencies:Attention to detail and accuracyStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple prioritiesEthical judgment and integrityProcess improvement mindsetBenefits:Medical, vision, and dental plansShort-term and long-term disability insuranceGroup term life insurance coverageHSA, FSA, and Dependent Care plans available8 paid holidays, 4 floating holidays, and generous PTO policy401k matchingAnnual safety shoe allowanceEducation assistance programEEO Statement:MAS HVAC is committed to creating a diverse and inclusive workplace where all individuals are treated with respect and dignity.
