Our team ensures thatindividuals with medical or mobility needs reach their appointments on time andwith care. We're seeking a dedicated Dispatcher to help us manage andcoordinate our growing fleet and support our mission of dependable service.
Job Summary
The Dispatcher will be responsible for organizing anddirecting transportation routes, coordinating schedules, and ensuring clear andprofessional communication with drivers, clients, and facilities. This is avital role that keeps our operations running smoothly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
Schedule, assign and monitor daily transportation schedulesand routes
Dispatch drivers in real-time using dispatching and GPSsoftware
Handle incoming service requests and updates from clients orfacilities
Communicate changes or delays to drivers and clientsprofessionally
Ensure timely pickups and drop-offs while maintainingservice quality
Address issues such as traffic delays, vehicle breakdowns,or rescheduling needs
Work closely with management to optimize fleet performance
Communicate with drivers in real time to ensure routeefficiency and patient safety
Use dispatching software to manage trip assignments andtrack vehicle locations
Coordinate with healthcare facilities, patients, andcaregivers
Handle incoming calls and resolve scheduling issues ordelays
Ensure compliance with HIPAA and all safety protocols
Provide excellent customer service to clients and partnerorganizations
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred
  • 1+ year of experience in dispatch or transportation coordination
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Familiarity with scheduling/dispatching software (icabbi, RouteGenie, MediRoutes, etc.) is a plus
  • Basic computer skills and comfort with GPS tracking tools
  • Knowledge of local and state transportation guidelines is preferred
  • Must be punctual, dependable, and detail-oriented

Preferred Skills
  • Experience in passenger ground transportation, NEMT experience a plus
  • Bilingual (Spanish or other language) a plus
  • Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and passenger safety protocols
