Explore Birmingham, Al

In the middle of a region rich in history and culture, Birmingham, AL runs a broad hospital network. Recurring coverage keeps travelers in the ICU and medical-surgical units across the metro, with UAB Hospital and Grandview Medical Center among the systems carrying that work. Contracts extend into Hoover, Homewood, and Vestavia Hills, all leafy suburbs south of downtown, and the central interstates tie those communities to the main medical districts for workable commutes. RNs often walk through Railroad Park to decompress between shifts. The interstate spokes are the practical key here, since picking a suburb on the right one can cut a daily drive in half across the spread-out metro.
