Job description

GovCIO is hiring a Cloud & Infrastructure as Code (IaC) Architect (AWS/Azure) with an active Secret clearance to d esign and implement scalable, secure, automated cloud environments using modern cloud architecture principles and Infrastructure as Code practices. The Architect also drives cloud modernization, migration, governance, and optimization efforts. This position is located in Arlington, VA, and is hybrid remote and onsite. Responsibilities Responsibilities: * Lead AI/automation strategy, roadmap development, and execution across enterprise programs. * Identify opportunities to implement AI, ML, RPA, workflow automation, and generative AI platforms. * Manage automation projects end-to-end, including requirements, schedules, risks, budgets, and performance metrics. * Coordinate work across data scientists, engineers, cybersecurity teams, cloud teams, and business leaders. * Establish governance frameworks for AI practices, model risk management, and enterprise adoption. * Develop KPIs measuring productivity gains, cost savings, automation effectiveness, and user adoption. * Oversee change-management plans, communications, and training. * Build and maintain vendor relationships and stay current with emerging technology trends. Qualifications Qualifications: Bachelor's with 12 + years of infrastructure/cloud engineering experience (or commensurate experience) Required Skills and Experience: * AWS/Microsoft Azure architecture expertise * Demonstrated expertise in AWS and Microsoft Azure architecture * Experience with Terraform, CloudFormation, and ARM/Bicep for infrastructure as code * Proficiency in Kubernetes and container-based deployment strategies * Strong knowledge of networking and security technologies * Hands-on experience with GitOps automation practices * Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools Preferred Skills and Experience: * AWS Solutions Architect Professional. * Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert. * Terraform or Kubernetes certifications.
