Job description

The Sales Specialist serves as the primary field-level contact for strategic and high-volume customers, managing relationships with key accounts and Goodyear Consumer Business Managers to ensure alignment with the Consumer Replacement Strategy. The role drives profitable growth through consultative selling, expert category planning, and by prospecting new customers while increasing Share-of-Account within existing locations.

Work Location: Fully remote (Central Indiana or Tennessee only). Frequent local travel (3-4 days/week) is required; candidates must live within driving distance of a major airport.

What You Will Do

  • Analyze sales data and market insights to identify opportunities and build high-impact strategies using cross-functional resources and tools.

  • Deliver product knowledge, training, and marketing support to store teams, enabling stronger in-store selling and execution.

  • Partner with Customer Development and Retail Marketing teams to maximize promotions, programs, and overall business performance.

  • Monitor competitor pricing, positioning, and product trends to inform strategy and strengthen Goodyear/Cooper's competitive advantage.

  • Manage territory reporting and expenses while mentoring and supporting the onboarding of new Sales Specialists.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree with 3+ years of experience in tire industry field sales, customer development, or operational support.

  • Proven ability to work independently, make sound decisions, and consistently achieve sales targets.

  • Strong analytical skills with a track record of turning data into actionable business plans.

  • In-depth knowledge of the tire industry, including Goodyear and Cooper product lines.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with a persuasive, customer-focused sales approach.

  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically, deliver results, and build strong relationships while serving as a trusted subject matter expert.
